A Nigerian Human and Environmental Rights NGO has filed a lawsuit with the Lagos High Court to prevent Shell from selling his Nigerian assets to a local oil and gas company. Heda says Shell is responsible for 35% of Nigeria’s oil spills and accuses the oil multinational structuring $ 2.4 billion to prevent responsibility for his long history of pollution.
