The American Union of Civil Freedoms appealed to the US Supreme Court On Friday, to request an emergency order against the Trump administration to deport National Venezuelans held in Texas in South America under the rarely used enemies law.
The Supreme Court previously ruled that there are restrictions on how the government may use the law of 1798 alien enemies, including those directed by virtue of it, have the right to an audience before being deported.
Hours before calling on the Supreme Court on Friday, the ACLU had asked two federal judges a court order on deportations.
One of the judges, James E. Boasberg, scheduled a Friday evening audience on the application.

Boasberg, who originally governed the Aliens Enemies Act, previously found a probable cause to commit the Trump Administration criminal contempt In disobeying his decision on deportations.
The Supreme Court then ruled that only the judges in the areas where migrants will be deported have jurisdiction over their cases.

The judges of Colorado, New York and South Texas have temporarily stopped deportations in these areas, but there is no prohibition for Venezuelan nationals who face a possible deportation from the Northern Bluebonnet detention Center of Texas.

The ACLU has requested a prohibition of deportation to two Venezuelans who remain in the center2, saying that the administration accuses them of being members of the Aragua Train Colla and any immigrant in the region.
President Trump also commented on Friday the case of Kilmar Abrego Garcia, a Salvadorian national who had lived in Maryland and had protections against deportation, who was mistakenly deported to a county prison last month.
