U.S. secret service shot an armed man near the White House while Trump out of town


Washington – An armed man who was believed to travel from Indiana was shot by United States Secret Service officers near the White House after a match at the beginning of Sunday, according to authorities.

No one else was injured in the shooting that passed around midnight at a white house block, according to a statement from the secret service.

President Donald Trump was in Florida at the time of shooting.

The Secret Service received information from Local Police on a suspected « suicide » who was traveling from Indiana and found the man’s car and a person who matched his description nearby.

« As the officers approached, the individual marked a firearm and an armed confrontation took place, during which the shots were fired by our staff, » the secret service said in a statement.

The man was hospitalized. The secret service said that their state was « unknown ».

The Metropolitan Police Department will investigate because the shooting involved agents of the law. The Police Department refused to provide more details.
