Trump tells us in direct nuclear conversations with Iran

Donald Trump, the United States and Iran will have « direct conversations » about a possible nuclear agreement, says Donald Trump.

The meeting was also confirmed by Iran’s Foreign Minister who called it « an opportunity as much as a test. »

The President of the United States said on Monday that he said the discussions between Washington and Tehran would be at « very high level » and warned that it would be a « very bad day for Iran » if no agreement was reached.

Last month, Trump raised the perspective of military action against Iran after its supreme leader Ayatollah Ali Khamenei publicly rejected the offer of direct conversations.

Trump disseminated the conversations after a white house meeting with Benjamin Netanyahu of Israel, who has also previously raised the possibility of attacking Iran to prevent him from acquiring nuclear weapons.

Speaking at the Oval Office, Trump said, « We have a very big meeting on Saturday (with Iran), and we are dealing with them directly … and maybe an agreement will be made, it would be great. »

Trump later said that Iran would be in « great danger » if the conversations would not be successful, adding: « Iran cannot have a nuclear weapon and, if the conversations are not successful, I think it will be a very bad day for Iran. »

The President did not provide more details about the conversations, including the progress they are or which officials have been involved.

Iran Foreign Minister confirmed that Washington and Tehran will meet in Oman on April 12.

Abbas Araqchi wrote to X: « It’s as much an opportunity as a test. The ball is on the court of America. »

In March, Trump sent a letter to the leader of Iran through an intermediary of the United Arab Emirates who expose his willingness to negotiate.

Iran rejected this offer, although its leadership was a willingness to discuss a possible agreement with the United States through a third party.

Charging Iran’s ability to build nuclear weapons has been a key objective for the United States and its allies for decades.

In 2015, President Barack Obama made an agreement with Iran by virtue of which he would limit his nuclear activities and allow international inspectors to the country to ensure that the facilities were used solely for civilian purposes and not weapons production.

In return, Iran had to offer relief of sanctions, which have paralyzed its economy.

This agreement was co-soly co-china, France, Germany, Russia and the United Kingdom.

However, in 2016, Trump unilaterally removed the United States from the agreement, with which he had been strongly critical during his first presidential election campaign.

In the following years, Iran has increasingly violated its terms. The International Atomic Energy Agency has warned that Tehran has created large stocks of enriched uranium, which can be used to make nuclear bombs.

In recent months, Trump has repeatedly raised the perspective of negotiating a new agreement with Iran, while threatening military actions if it cannot be reached.

Israel sees preventing his opponent Iran from acquiring a nuclear weapon as a power station for his long -term safety. As it has assumed that its production installation has heavy in recent months.

Last year, Israel said he had reached an Iranian nuclear place in retaliation for the previous Iranian missile attack in Israel.

Speaking in the White House, Netanyahu said: « We and the United States are united by the goal that Iran never achieves nuclear weapons.

« If you can do diplomatically completely, as it was done in Libya, I think it would be a good thing. »
