President Donald Trump Thursday withdrew his nomination to Rece. Elise Stefanik As an United States ambassador to United Nations.
Trump cited most of the knife that Republicans Take the Chamber of representatives by his decision to get the name of Stefanik from consideration of the consideration of Senate for the Not. Pal.
Stefanik’s vote, a New York Republican, has been repeatedly crucial to help the Caucus GOP to approve key legislation since the beginning of Trump’s term in January.
The full Senate for almost two months had been voting on his nomination with embassy, after he was recommended by the Foreign Relations CommitteeDue to the concern that his departure from the chamber would threaten Trump’s legislative agenda.
The Caucus GOP currently has 218 Seats in the housewith the Democrats that occupy 213 seats.
Trump, in a social media post on Thursday, wrote: « As we move on our first agenda in America, it is essential that we keep all the republican seats in Congress. »
« We must be unified to fulfill our mission, and Elise Stefanik has been a vital part of our efforts from the outset, » Trump wrote to social truth. « With a very tight majority, I don’t want to have anyone else to go to the Elise seat. »
Trump did not say who would now name the United Nations ambassador’s slot.
But he wrote, « there are others that can do a good job in the United Nations. »
« Therefore, Elise will remain in Congress, she will join the house leadership team again and will continue to fight for our amazing North -American people, » said Trump.
Stefanik was formerly President of the Chamber’s Republican Conference, the leadership position number 4 in the House, but resigned from this role after Trump named it for the United Nations Embassy.
