At least 73 million people were threatened in severe time on Sunday when storms arrived in the center of the United States.
The National Meteorological Service Prediction Center warned of the improved risk of possible tornadoes, large squid and rainfall.
In Michigan, more than 300,000 electrical interruptions were reported, while 100,000 were reported to Wisconsin and Indiana.
Storms are expected to continue in several states until Thursday.
