« We value inclusive and accessible environments that host the various needs of our community. We are pleased to announce that we will remodel the current changing rooms to implement universal changing rooms, » the university said in its announcement.
« All members of the Campus recreation can use our universal changing rooms, regardless of who they are or how they identify. These spaces include disabled members and members of all gender identities. »

The news of this change was extended on Tuesday after two invoices aimed at preventing transgender athletes from being outside women and girls from Monday at the state and federal levels.
California Women’s Rights Activist Beth Bourne published X on universal changing rooms and students’ reaction.
The women’s tennis legend, Martina Navratilova, called the situation « beyond the F —– Up ».
« This is beyond f —– up! Be ready to lose many women in this mad, » Navratilova wrote.
Many other users expressed similar outrage with their own publications.
The university plans to spend $ 5 million in renewals and students will have until Wednesday to erase all their belongings from current changing rooms. Reformed changing rooms will not reopen until September.
The university’s announcement claims that all toilets, changing rooms and cabins are individual private spaces, with ground blocking doors, saying that « it offers more privacy for all members » compared to the current format.
