An American judge on Friday denied Sean (Diddy) on the candidacy of combs to delay his next sexual trafficking judgment for two months.
U.S. District Judge Arun Subramanian said that the hip-hop tycoon made his request too close to his trial. The jury selection is scheduled to start on May 5, with opening statements on May 12.
Combs, 55, has not been guilty of five criminal counts, including -the journey and sex traffic. The Prosecutor’s Office of the United States of Manhattan say that COMBS used their business empire to sexually abuse women between 2004 and 2024.
Combs lawyers say that the sexual activity described by the prosecutors was agreed. He has been imprisoned in Brooklyn since September.
In a judicial presentation on Wednesday, Combs lawyer Marc Agnifilo asked Subramanian to delay the trial because he needed more time to prepare his defense for the new positions submitted on April 4. Agnifilo also said that the defense needed more time to review the emails he wants a suspected victim to start.
Federal prosecutors opposed any delay, writing in a Thursday court that additional charges submitted earlier this month did not mean substantially new conduct. They said that COMBS was not entitled to the communications of the alleged victim.

On Thursday, Subramanian also granted the prosecutors’ motion to allow some alleged victims to testify to the trial under pseudonyms to protect their privacy.
Also known as Puff Daddy and P. Diddy, Combs founded Bad Boy Records and is credited with helping to turn R&B rappers and singers as Mary J. Blige, Faith Evans, notorious Big and Usher in Stars during the 1990’s and 2000’s.
But prosecutors have said that their success hid a dark side. They say that their alleged abuse included women participating in recorded sexual actions called « freak-offs » with male sex workers, who were sometimes transported through state lines.
Once the Friday’s eyes were over, Combs briefly headed for the room audience to talk to his mother and other supporters, one of whom carried a black sweatshirt that read « Free Puff ».
« I love you all, » said Combs, blowing a kiss before being left by the Marshals of the United States.
