Pope Francis, who has been fighting pneumonia and bronchitis for more than three weeks, has shown a « good response » to treatment, according to the Vatican.
« The clinical condition of the Holy Father in recent days has remained stable and, therefore, indicates a good response to the treatment, » said the Vatican.
« Therefore, there is a gradual and slight improvement, » he added.

The Argentine pontiff has not been public since entering the hospital, its longer stretching in the public eye since its papacy 12 years ago.
He was admitted to the hospital on February 14 after having a respiratory difficulty, and for the first time treated by bronchitis before being diagnosed with pneumonia on both lungs.
