« I remember when I was a little baby … My mom was thrown away, and she had a baby in her hands, and things are very slippery and bloody, and she slipped into the toilet when she washed and she lost, so it was a very traumatic experience for my mom, and I will never forget her. »

During the miscarriage, Natalie Vial said he relied on his instincts and the painful lessons he witnessed in his youth. Hearing Natalie, shouting from the bathroom, he rushed to comfort her, ending up restoring his unborn baby with his hands, trying to keep the moment and offer a sense of peace.
« It was just a very terrible experience, but Natalie was like what to do? In the toilet had this blood, and finally I took it away, reassured her … I went there with my hands and was able to restore our child and save him what was … I am very grateful for it. »

« Like a mother, you connect with your child … As soon as you find out what’s pregnant, your body is changing, it’s a sensitive thing. For parents, it’s a little different … As a father who loses a child through a miscarriage, I didn’t have the opportunity to contact our baby in this way, but this moment was as sad as it was, connect. »

Vial reflects on grief, healing and paternity
Vial also shared the contrast between his original squad during pregnancy with their permanent river daughter and the deep connection he feels today.
« The river was with us of these moments, » he said. « I think of the box I opened where there was a pregnancy test … And so, as a father, this moment helped me to connect. I think it allowed us to mourn more evenly when it makes sense. »
The episode, although deeply emotional, is a testimony to the second wind mission: providing guests to study the complexities of life, loss, healing and beginning. Vial’s willingness to revise such a painful chapter that many parents, especially parents, can find both mental and healing.
