Montrealers report Donald Trump for the « betrayal » of friends, allies


Protesters flooded several blocks on Saturday in the center of Mont -Real, singing « Shame on you » at the door of the United States Consulate.

A few carried tunics reminiscent of Handmaid’s Tale, a dystopian novel in which women are subject to the governing regime.

Others brought signs by comparing the administration of United States President Donald Trump with that of Nazi Germany.

The protesters closed their arms when they were observed eight minutes of silence.

In a message to Trump, Vice President JD Vance and Trump’s ally Elon Musk, protest organizer Anaïs Barbeau-Lavalette denounced the United States administration.

“You are not kings. We are not maids, « he said.
