Texas governor Greg Abbott says the illegal crossing of borders that were in the thousands of former President Joe Biden have fallen into the unique digits in some areas below President Donald Trump.
« I was with some of El Paso officials last night and I was told that, where there were 3,000 people crossing the border, sometimes a day, only in El Paso, there were nine people a day, » Abbott said on Tuesday in an interview with Joe Kernen from CNBC to « Squawk Box. »
Trump launched a repression of illegal immigration on the first day of his return after resolving the biden border crisis. He has resumed the construction of the border wall, asks illegal immigrants to « self -conform » through the CBP application of their administration to facilitate their withdrawal from the country and has invoked the aliene enemies lawwhich allows the president to imprison or deport people who are not citizen.

Abbott said the reception receive illegal immigrants once they believe in the country is very different than it was Under Biden. Under Trump, he said, the law is being applied.
« People who do it on the border now are immediately arrested and deported and, therefore, discouraged people from re -entering the border, » said the governor.
« We have never seen a change as much as we saw four years ago, and now this year, in terms of what happens on the border, » said Abbott.
« What began to happen four years ago, of course, was a complete failure when enforcing immigration laws in the United States of America, » he added. « And, as a result, we saw a record number of people who illegally cross the border, more than 11 million people, including well -known murderers, rapists and members of the gang and members of the Cartel. And so the crime across the country fired. »

« Now, in the immediate consequences of the Trump and Trump election, he took office, has gone from 11 million people to the border illegally to only one trick, as in a good number of people, » said Abbott.
