Last week, using James Webb Space Telescope (JWST), researchers found something interesting in an exoplanet called K2-18 B: Dimethyl sulfide (DMS), is produced by almost microscopic sea life on earth. About 120 light-years, an ecoplanet, which is in the residential zone of the red dwarf star, and a hipy world, a steam that has a rich atmosphere with hydrogen, an ocean covered planet.
Although the detection comes with a statistical confidence (not prospective, but not firm), the headlines around the world sounded with speculations on the first discovery outside the earth. But not sure everyone. Scientists between the subjects are already seriously in some of them, and other research and others doubt. DMS can be a sign of life or just what happened in the extreme conditions of odd, abiotic chemistry?
This latest GIZ asks that the findings from « Maybe » from « maybe » from « maybe » from « maybe » from « maybe » from « maybe » from « perhaps » from « perhaps » to « maybe » from « perhaps ». Because the line between astrobiology mate and extraordinary The razor is thin. The following answers were lightly edited and joined for clarity.

A planetary chemistry in Cambridge is a planetary chemistry, a planetary chemist investigating the potential settlement of planets among other things.
I have been working to develop the concept of K2-18 B (ie the size and temperature of the atmosphere, changed the size and temperature, etc.).
I do not believe the report of the DMS in the spectrum of K2-18 B moving astrobiological needles. The series of steps to trust, we saw signs of life outside the ground:
- Setting the signal indeed visible the planet (in this case, in this case, until the absorption of the light passing from the atmosphere of the planet)
- The creation of the signal belongs to the biosigiyya of interest (in this case, the spectrum absorption of the DMS).
- Exception as non-biological processes can produce biosygatura.
- Biological processes in biological processes (hypothetical) biological processes.
K2-18 B detection did not exceed 1 or 2 or 2 or 2 should confirm that the society is a signal for themselves. It’s not my experience.
3 and 4 is closer than my experience. Here K2-18 b presents a certain problem for life. At present, this planet is not required from the information that the liquid water oceans and life are climatic. In fact, according to the information, there is every reason to believe that the climate will be very hot for the oceans of the liquid water, not liquid juice, but a deep atmosphere under a potential atmosphere by Magma oceans. For this reason, even if one DMS is found, this (molecule) was caused by a lifeless, warm, sulfur and hydrogenous atmosphere, and this is the start of the atmospheric chemistry. Instead, this will require you to wait for the climate of Biological DMs as the climate of this planet, to do so without another reason to do so from the information.
In other words, the settlement of the settlement of K2-18 B is a long way to live alone.

This is a very interesting new database. The presence of unknown properties, dimethyl sulfide or dimethyl disulfide in K2-18 B. However, these results extend to JWST (K2-18 B is a very small planet) and there is no statistically significant evidence for these features. We need a more astronomer in this case as soon as possible! Currently, I am interested in the potential of these molecules in K2-18 B, but are careful.
If you have a DMS or DMD, we should be very careful in treating them like biozertures. We have just started asking about abiotics on such a planet. Exotic chemistry may surprise us because the planets are more complicated (and magnificent interesting) than we are supposed to be the first. Numerous supporting evidence for the life to be found should be found and this time will take time. Let’s digest these new results and start working.
Mastering preprint An important find shown below includes:
« The revised deep atmospheric scenario (carbon monoxide) and NH3 (ammonoxitis), the lack of such types of these species) and similar planets. »

Needling is more likely to be more potential than before, but other opportunities must be very careful and open.
I think we have the most excited thing, we have any information to discuss opportunities, even to discuss opportunities. I think more information
The next must give better restrictions over the next 1-2 years.

Everything was completely blown up completely. Unfortunately, in my answers, but I had to do this in the last two days in the Netherlands and Belgian media and have done a little.
The research group finds bumps in the spectra. It is not clear whether they are real and if it is, it can cause it. With dozens of molecules (real when real) or even cloud features. What do the authors do? It’s just that the DMS may cause it and add DMDs). They can cause this shot and ignore other types of other types of other types (ie biological molecules) who can call one day. If I was the judge I would have stopped this publication there. There is no reason to invite astrobiology, the greatest progress or what they want.
Most reporters write something that says something like « but not all scientists, not all scientists.

Most likely, we must be confirmed in any way, we must live with what we can call « Biosignature Planet candidates ». This planet needs more work to go there. You can be sure that others can be produced without the life of DMS.
I appreciate the enthusiasm of people. With more evidence, these and other planets may be « blessed » as biosyora candidates, but will remain indefinitely in the category of candidates.
