At least one person has died after a helicopter crashed against the Hudson River in New York, according to authorities on Thursday.
The New York Police Department said that at least two people were extracted from the water, although its state is still unclear, a official said to CBS News, the BBC United States partner. It is unclear whether the person who reported dead was one of the two people taken from the river.
The sea and land units are on the scene of the fall, but it is not yet clear how many people were on board.
The video circulating on social networks shows some debris that float on the river.

The accident that took place around 15:15 Edt (20:15 GMT) passed closer to the New Jersey side of the Hudson River.
The accident site seems to be near the 40’s Moll in New York City.
Streets traffic and street traffic have been stopped in the area.
A BBC journalist at the top of the World Trade Center at the time of the fall said that there were about a dozen ships surrounding the site of the fall.
He added the tourists to the top of the building that had gathered on one side of the tower to look towards the scene of the accident.
